Has any one tried boonville Hop Ottin IPA?
I tried this tasty little beverage this evening and loved it! Its a very hopy (which was expected) IPA with a crisp citrus finish. Nice clear Carmel color. It had a smaller head, but sustatined well throughout the pint. The ABV for this IPA is 7%. I found this brew at Macadoodles in Joplin MO. Hopefully, you guys can find it in St. Louis too! Try it and let me know what you think. Its a good one, but not as good as Odells IPA.

I had a Sam Adams from Mahones in St. Louis that sustained its head REAL well. it left rings/lines on the glass after each sip. It was like cutting down a tree...
ReplyDeletebut no, I haven't had the boonville hop ottin IPA...i'll look for it though. Good to hear from a brother in Joplin!
ReplyDeleteI had something called Milwaukee's best last night in a big can, and i have to say that sucker was one of the best beers ever made. i mean i think i might move to milwaukee now.

dude, i totally drank me down some hop ottin this past summer in philadelphia. i remember dearly loving it. i had two big draughts on tuesday afternoon, loving it so much that i walked the mile back to the pub the next day only to find that the keg has been switched out. it was a pretty beer. i wanted to stare into it like fire. i'm glad to know that the hop ottin is available in the midwest, even if i am in the middle of tex-ass.
ReplyDeletei would like to hear someone's take on bear republic hop rod rye and schlafly coffee stout. if one of the contributors could post on one or both of these beers, i would appreciate it.
